"Go Bold or Go Home"
New York Fashion Week Highlights
Sat 10th & Sun 11th September
Go bold or go home. That’s the message on Day 4, where designers continue to embrace the rainbow and beyond this week for their spring 2012 collections.
Farah Angsana's Spring 2012 Collection |
Farah Angsana's hour length showing in the Box saw some very vibrant pieces with ethnic influences against some nude classic tailored evening gowns. The use of transparency again a reoccurring Runway Trend over the week.
DKNY: Stunning Brights, Lightweight Fabrics |
Donna Karens DKNY Spring 2012 collection at its home time of New York presented itself in the Heart of the city with the famous yellow cab as a backdrop. No Studio, no gallery the models strutted down 547 W 26th Street in these stunning colour brights.
DKNY: "New York Pace + Attitude" |
This collection was an interchangeable collection the type of dress code I like where a stylish woman can be day appropriate without looking over the top and easily cross over into a night time look. For a creative person who doesn't know where the day is going to take them. Donna karen always has a modern system of dressing appealing to the international man and woman her designs are not limited to a New Yorker but reflect the pace and attitude of the city.
DKNY: Colour Blocking Red + Blue Poppy Print |
The daring print and clashing colours used to take this seasons colour blocking trend to a next level was genius. My favourite concept of the day using print on print usually a fashion faux pas but in the light of the popular looks this season this blue and red massacre works perfect. Another quirky stylestress showed today at 2.30 in the box.
L.A.M.B: Bold Tribal Prints |
